Standing
in the late afternoon sunlight photographing these Snow Geese in
flight I took a few moments to reflect; this was my 5th visit to
Bosque Del Apache, a trip that's become an annual pilgrimage from
my home in Dorset. My thoughts turned to the Snow Geese who raise
their families on the cold arctic tundra and face many hazards flying
south to their wintering grounds in New Mexico. My journey was one
of pleasure to witness one of natures true marvels, theirs is one
of survival. I always find it refreshing, putting things into context.
