This
photograph of a Yellow-breasted Chat (icteria virens) is chosen
from my recent trip to Point Pelee National Park in Southern Canada.
This normally secretive bird is the largest member of the North
American Wood Warbler family Parulidae and provided a stunning subject
for photographers during two evenings in mid May.
I
found the 'Point Pelee experience' extremely challenging and often
frustrating with poor light conditions and lightening fast subjects.
However, my perseverance certainly paid off with a good haul of
new species and some great images.
